QUID, the native token powering the Squid cross-chain interoperability protocol, is set to officially launch on August 4 at 13:00 UTC, with trading going live simultaneously across several leading centralized and decentralized exchanges.
The token will debut on Binance Alpha, Bitget, Kraken, PancakeSwap, and additional supported trading platforms, marking an important milestone for Squid’s rapidly expanding cross-chain ecosystem.
Bringing Cross-Chain Interoperability to Web3
Squid is an interoperability protocol designed to simplify interactions across blockchain networks by allowing developers and users to perform cross-chain actions through a single integration.
Rather than relying on multiple bridges and separate infrastructure providers, Squid enables:
- Cross-chain token swaps
- Asset bridging
- Smart contract execution across networks
- Unified access to more than 100 blockchain ecosystems
The protocol aims to reduce the complexity of building multi-chain decentralized applications while improving user experience across Web3.
Token Generation Event Details
Ahead of launch, the project shared several key Token Generation Event (TGE) metrics.
According to the team:
- Launch Date: August 4
- Launch Time: 13:00 UTC
- Network: Base
- Pre-market Price: Approximately $0.069
- Estimated Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV): Around $69.4 million
- Public Sale FDV: $45 million
The lower public sale valuation reflects the project’s approach to distributing tokens before broader market trading begins.
Staking Available From Day One
The Squid team confirmed that staking will be available immediately following the Token Generation Event, allowing token holders to participate in securing the ecosystem and earning rewards from launch.
In addition, on-chain liquidity for QUID will become available through PancakeSwap Infinity on the Base network, providing decentralized trading alongside centralized exchange listings.
Official Token Lives Only on Base
To protect users from scams during launch, the team emphasized that the official QUID token exists exclusively on the Base blockchain.
The project warned users to remain cautious of:
- Fake QUID tokens
- Fraudulent airdrop campaigns
- Impersonation websites
- Scam contract addresses
Investors are encouraged to verify token contract details through the project’s official communication channels before interacting with any assets.
Expanding the Multi-Chain Ecosystem
The launch of QUID represents another step in the growing demand for cross-chain infrastructure as decentralized applications increasingly operate across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
With support for more than 100 networks, integrated staking from launch, and listings on major trading venues, Squid aims to position itself as a core interoperability layer connecting fragmented blockchain liquidity and applications.
As the multi-chain landscape continues to evolve, QUID’s launch could further accelerate adoption of seamless cross-chain transactions and decentralized application development across the broader Web3 ecosystem.
