Circle Unveils Founding Validators and Major Institutional Partners for Arc Ahead of September Mainnet Launch

Circle has announced the founding validator lineup and a wave of institutional integrations for Arc, its enterprise-grade blockchain network designed to power the next generation of global finance. Scheduled for a public mainnet launch on September 16, 2026, Arc aims to become a trusted settlement layer for tokenized assets, stablecoins, and real-time digital payments.

Currently operating on a private mainnet with more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders, Arc brings together leading financial institutions, payment networks, exchanges, and DeFi protocols in one of the most ambitious blockchain infrastructure initiatives to date.

Global Financial Leaders Join Arc as Founding Validators

Circle revealed that Arc’s founding validator cohort includes some of the world’s largest financial and payments organizations.

The initial validator group includes:

  • BlackRock
  • DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation)
  • Galaxy
  • Global Payments
  • ICE (Intercontinental Exchange)
  • Mastercard
  • MoneyGram
  • SBI Group
  • Standard Chartered
  • Sumitomo Corporation
  • Visa

Unlike traditional blockchain networks secured primarily by independent node operators, Arc introduces a model where the institutions building financial applications on the network also help secure and validate it.

According to Circle, this structure is intended to provide the trust, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and scalability required for institutional financial infrastructure.

Arc Targets Institutional-Grade Blockchain Infrastructure

Circle positions Arc as a blockchain purpose-built for:

  • Tokenized financial markets
  • Stablecoin settlement
  • Cross-border payments
  • Treasury management
  • Digital asset custody
  • Agentic AI-driven commerce
  • Real-time financial applications

The network combines permissionless blockchain architecture with institutional governance standards, aiming to bridge decentralized finance and traditional financial markets.

BlackRock Plans to Bring BUIDL to Arc

One of the most significant announcements is BlackRock’s expected deployment of BUIDL, its tokenized U.S. Dollar Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, onto the Arc blockchain.

The integration will allow institutional investors to:

  • Subscribe to fund shares on-chain
  • Redeem assets directly
  • Deploy capital using native USDC
  • Manage tokenized liquidity within a single blockchain environment

Circle believes this could significantly reduce operational friction that has historically limited institutional adoption of tokenized investment funds.

BlackRock also stated that purpose-built networks like Arc could improve settlement efficiency, collateral mobility, and institutional participation in digital assets.

DTCC to Connect Traditional Securities With Blockchain

Circle also announced a collaboration with DTCC, one of the world’s largest post-trade financial infrastructure providers.

Beginning in the second half of 2027, the two organizations plan to integrate DTCC’s tokenization services with Arc.

The initiative is expected to allow financial institutions to:

  • Tokenize assets held within DTCC infrastructure
  • Settle transactions using stablecoins
  • Move tokenized securities across blockchain applications
  • Improve operational efficiency while maintaining existing investor protections

The collaboration aligns with DTCC’s broader multi-chain strategy for modernizing global capital markets.

Mastercard, Visa and MoneyGram Expand Stablecoin Strategy

Several major payment companies also outlined their role in Arc’s ecosystem.

Mastercard said its participation reflects its long-term vision of connecting traditional payment infrastructure with blockchain-based financial networks.

Visa described Arc as the type of trusted, compliant infrastructure needed to support the next generation of on-chain payments.

MoneyGram highlighted Arc’s potential to make stablecoins more practical for real-world remittances and global money movement.

Together, the participation of these payment giants signals growing institutional confidence in blockchain-based settlement infrastructure.

More Than 100 Builders Already Developing on Arc

Beyond financial institutions, Circle confirmed that over 100 organizations are already building applications on Arc’s private mainnet.

The ecosystem spans multiple sectors.

DeFi and Liquidity Providers

Leading decentralized finance protocols and market makers include:

  • Aave
  • Uniswap
  • Morpho
  • Aerodrome
  • FalconX
  • Galaxy
  • GSR
  • Keyrock
  • Nonco
  • XFX

These firms are expected to provide liquidity, lending, borrowing, and trading infrastructure.

Payments and Stablecoin Providers

Payment-focused partners include:

  • Rain
  • Thunes
  • Wirex

These companies will help route stablecoin payments, card settlements, and cross-border transactions through Arc.

Wallets, Exchanges and Infrastructure

Major crypto infrastructure providers joining the ecosystem include:

  • Binance Wallet
  • Chainlink
  • Fireblocks
  • Kraken
  • Ledger
  • MetaMask
  • Uniswap Labs
  • Upbit

These integrations are expected to simplify custody, wallet connectivity, USDC usage, and cross-chain asset transfers.

AI and Tokenization Become Core Components

Circle also announced that Arc will launch with a comprehensive suite of developer tools designed for institutional blockchain adoption.

Planned capabilities include:

  • AI-powered smart contract development
  • Composable application frameworks
  • Tokenized real-world asset management
  • Developer SDKs
  • User-friendly interfaces for institutions and autonomous AI agents

The company believes combining artificial intelligence with blockchain infrastructure will accelerate the development of financial applications capable of operating autonomously while meeting institutional compliance standards.

Circle Positions Arc as the Next Financial Settlement Layer

With participation from many of the world’s largest asset managers, payment networks, banks, exchanges, and blockchain infrastructure providers, Arc represents Circle’s most ambitious effort to build a unified blockchain ecosystem for institutional finance.

Rather than competing solely as another Layer-1 blockchain, Arc is designed to become a trusted operating system for global digital finance, supporting tokenized assets, stablecoins, real-time settlement, and programmable financial services within a single interoperable network.

As the public mainnet launch approaches on September 16, Arc is emerging as one of the most closely watched institutional blockchain projects, reflecting the accelerating convergence of traditional finance, decentralized finance, and blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
