Crypto markets saw $3.02 billion in liquidations over the past 24 hours, as heightened volatility triggered widespread losses among leveraged traders.

According to market data, 171,626 traders were liquidated during the period, highlighting the scale of leverage being unwound as Bitcoin climbed toward the $69,000 level.
The largest single liquidation occurred on Hyperliquid, involving a BTC/USDT position worth approximately $48.8 million.

The sharp rise in liquidations underscores the risks of leveraged trading during periods of rapid Bitcoin price movements, where relatively small market swings can trigger cascading forced closures.
