Phantom, a leading multichain crypto wallet, has integrated Google Pay, allowing users to add funds to their in-app cash balance directly from a linked payment card.
The new Google Pay option works with Phantom Cash, the wallet’s USD-pegged balance, and joins existing funding methods including Apple Pay, debit cards and bank transfers. Users can buy and sell stablecoins within the wallet without additional fees.
Phantom Cash can also be used through a virtual card that works wherever Visa, Apple Pay or Google Pay is accepted, further connecting the wallet’s self-custodial crypto infrastructure with everyday payments.
The integration is part of Phantom’s broader effort to make self-custodial crypto wallets function more like mainstream financial apps. The Google Pay feature is initially rolling out in the United States, with broader availability expected in the future.
