Bitmine Immersion Technologies continues to strengthen its position as one of the world’s largest corporate holders of Ethereum, adding another 10,399 ETH to its balance sheet while simultaneously accelerating its multi-billion-dollar share repurchase program.
The latest purchase, valued at approximately $19.6 million, further advances the company’s long-term strategy of building one of the largest institutional Ethereum treasuries, with management targeting ownership of 5% of Ethereum’s total circulating supply.
Ethereum Holdings Approach Strategic Milestone
Following the latest acquisition, Bitmine now holds approximately 5,797,813 ETH, worth an estimated $10.9 billion based on current market prices.
The company said its holdings now represent roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s circulating supply of approximately 120.7 million ETH, bringing it within striking distance of its ambitious 5% ownership target.
If achieved, Bitmine would become one of the largest corporate Ethereum holders globally, reinforcing its strategy of treating Ether as a long-term treasury reserve rather than simply a mining asset.
Diversified Digital Asset Balance Sheet
While Ethereum remains the centerpiece of Bitmine’s treasury strategy, the company also maintains exposure to several additional assets.
Its portfolio currently includes:
- 5.8 million ETH
- 209 Bitcoin (BTC)
- Approximately $173 million in cash and marketable securities
- Strategic equity investments in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings
Combined, Bitmine’s crypto holdings, cash reserves, securities, and equity investments are valued at approximately $11.3 billion, reflecting one of the strongest digital asset balance sheets among publicly traded crypto companies.
Aggressive Share Repurchase Continues
Alongside expanding its crypto treasury, Bitmine is actively returning capital to shareholders through an aggressive stock buyback program.
The company disclosed that it repurchased 4.5 million common shares during the past week alone.
Since July 1, Bitmine has bought back approximately 16.1 million shares under its previously authorized $4 billion share repurchase program.
The buyback reflects management’s confidence in the company’s long-term strategy while reducing the number of outstanding shares and potentially increasing shareholder value over time.
Staking Strategy Generates Additional Yield
Bitmine is also utilizing its Ethereum holdings to generate additional returns.
Following its previous Ethereum purchase announced in late July, the company revealed that approximately 85% of its ETH treasury is actively staked through its validator infrastructure.
By participating in Ethereum’s Proof-of-Stake network, Bitmine earns staking rewards while simultaneously helping secure the blockchain.
This approach allows the company to generate recurring yield on its treasury assets rather than simply holding Ether passively.
Institutional Ethereum Adoption Continues to Grow
Bitmine’s latest acquisition highlights the growing institutional interest in Ethereum as a strategic treasury asset.
While corporate Bitcoin adoption has accelerated over recent years, an increasing number of publicly traded companies are beginning to build significant Ethereum reserves, attracted by the network’s role in decentralized finance, tokenization, stablecoins, and staking-based yield generation.
By combining large-scale ETH accumulation with active staking and substantial shareholder returns through buybacks, Bitmine is positioning itself as one of the most prominent Ethereum-focused treasury companies in the public markets.
With its holdings now approaching 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, the company’s strategy underscores the increasing institutional conviction surrounding the long-term value of the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency.
