US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds returned to positive flows on Wednesday, attracting $32.1 million in net inflows and ending a four-session withdrawal streak despite Bitcoin briefly falling below $64,000.
The reversal follows more than $500 million in combined outflows from spot Bitcoin ETFs over the previous four trading sessions, suggesting some investors returned to the funds even as broader crypto market sentiment remained cautious.
Bitcoin ETFs Break Four-Day Outflow Streak
According to data from SoSoValue and CoinGecko, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $32.1 million in net inflows on Wednesday.
The positive session came as Bitcoin briefly declined to approximately $63,300 during US trading hours, showing that ETF demand recovered even as the underlying asset remained under price pressure.
Despite Wednesday’s improvement, weekly flows remain negative. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have registered approximately $29.29 million in net outflows so far this week.
The longer-term picture remains stronger, with the funds attracting approximately $204.7 million in net inflows this month.
Since their launch, cumulative net inflows across US spot Bitcoin ETFs have reached approximately $51.36 billion.
Ether ETFs Move in the Opposite Direction
While Bitcoin ETF flows recovered, US-listed spot Ether ETFs recorded $18.65 million in net outflows on Wednesday.
However, Ether investment products continue to outperform Bitcoin ETFs on a monthly flow basis.
Spot Ether ETFs have attracted approximately $342.9 million in net inflows so far this month, compared with $204.7 million for their Bitcoin counterparts.
The difference suggests institutional and ETF investor demand for Ether has remained relatively resilient despite the latest daily withdrawal.
Bitcoin Remains Below $64,000
The return of ETF inflows has yet to translate into a significant Bitcoin price recovery.
At the time of the reported data, Bitcoin was trading around $63,990, down approximately 0.2% over 24 hours and 2.5% over the previous seven days.
Ether was trading near $1,902, representing a decline of approximately 1.1% over the past week.
The muted price action indicates that broader selling pressure continues to offset some of the demand entering through regulated investment products.
Crypto Market Sentiment Remains in Fear
Investor sentiment also remains cautious.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 28 on Thursday, keeping the market within the fear category and slipping one point from the previous day.
However, sentiment has improved compared with a month earlier, when the index was signalling extreme fear.
The combination of weak prices, cautious sentiment and returning Bitcoin ETF inflows presents a mixed picture for the market.
Bitcoin ETFs have broken their recent withdrawal streak, but whether Wednesday’s $32.1 million inflow marks the beginning of sustained institutional buying or simply a temporary reversal will depend on flows over the coming trading sessions.
